Newham Volunteer team at the Together! 2013 Festival.

Volunteers play a crucial role in Together!’s activities and we always welcome new volunteers. Volunteers can be disabled or non-disabled, and any age over school-leaving age. Volunteers under the age of 26 can earn a nationally recognised Arts Award qualification; we are in the process of developing other qualifications programmes open to all age groups. We are always happy to offer CV experience – volunteers are also entitled to the same training as paid team members.

We particularly welcome volunteers who can support disabled people to participate in our activities. This help might include travelling to and from an activity or event with a disabled person; and/or helping to fetch drinks and snacks; opening doors; assisting people on and off with their coats; and acting as someone’s eyes or hands during an activity. In the run-up to events, other volunteer roles include helping with marketing and publicity, administration, event organisation and artist liaison. During events, volunteer roles include stewarding, information provision and artist support. We welcome volunteers with relevant experience and/or specialist skills, and will endeavour to ensure that an appropriate role is found for you.

If you are interested in volunteering at Together! and have access to email, please email us at info@together2012.org.uk with your full contact details, your availability, and a brief summary of your skills and experience (if relevant). Or phone or text Artistic Director Ju Gosling on 07973 252751. You can also volunteer with Together! via Newham Volunteer Team.
