The Art Club is FREE and meets on Tuesdays and Fridays from 11am-12noon* on Zoom, led by Clubs Programme Leader Alison Marchant with the assistance of other mid-career artists and volunteers. * We have shortened our Art Club sessions from 2 hours to 1 hour while we are working virtually, to avoid screen fatigue.
Tuesdays are ‘Make and Natter’ sessions, either taking part in an inclusive craft activity led by Alison using things you already have at home, or working on your own project and showing this to the other participants. On Fridays, where we focus on drawing and painting, Alison creates a still-life image for participants to interpret in their own voice, using whatever art materials you already have at home, including pencils, crayons, felt tip pens, pastels and paints. Art Club participants are further supported with personalised support to continue working at home outside of Club sessions.
For people without Zoom access, there are a range of inclusive art- and craft-based activities on our Join in from Home page.
