Special People is a comedy feature film developed with disabled young people by writer Dominic Coleman and director Justin Edgar. It follows Jasper, a filmmaker on the verge of a nervous breakdown tasked with teaching a group of cynical disabled kids how to make films.

Special People premiered at the 2007 Edinburgh International Film Festival where it charmed both audiences and critics. It went on to win the best film audience award at Britspotting Film Festival in Berlin and open the London Disability Film Festival in February 2008 with a gala screening at BFI Southbank

Special People was released in UK cinemas in 2008 through Guerilla Films to great critical acclaim.
