Stopgap Dance Company create exhilarating dance productions for national and international touring. They employ disabled and non-disabled artists who find innovative ways to collaborate. Stopgap value a pioneering spirit and are committed to making discoveries about integrating disabled and non-disabled people through dance. Stopgap’s productions are devised by the company dancers and collaborators, working as an ensemble. Interim Artistic Director Laura Jones will be leading the workshop.

The Together! Dance Club launched in September 2016 and meets on the 4th Monday of each month from 11am-2pm at Vicarage Lane Community Centre. Together! Clubs are facilitated by mid-career artists and aimed at disabled people; carers, support workers, PAs, family members, partners and friends are welcome as companions*. We are Newham-based, but welcome participants from outside the borough. All of our activities are free and open to all.

*We are not a social care organisation and while we will do our best to make activities accessible, if someone needs support to join in and has access to a PA or carer we ask that they attend too.
