It’s too late to join in by Live Chat, but we welcome your comments by email and can pass these onto the artists: info@together2012.org.uk

Festival favourites Signdance Collective previewed excerpts from their work-in-progress Oriente Plus in a unique performance from East London, Croatia and Austria on 16 November. Following the performance they discussed their work with Artistic Director Dr Ju Gosling, with audience questions and comments via Live Chat. Watch the video above.

You can also join in with Signdance Collective’s online workshop from 22 November here.

“This is a story about the things that keep us together, even when the world tears us apart. A story about poetry, music and culture. A story that doesn’t look like a story, but moves in its own way, sinuous, snake-like, circling like a vulture, gliding and diving through the air. A story about a mother and daughter losing each other and finding themselves in the memories of all the mothers and daughters that came before them and made them who they are. This is a Caribbean story, a story of power cuts and generators, of crossroads and ocean crossings, of haunted bodies and dancing souls.” Pedro De Senna.

Directed and written by Pedro De Senna with Tarik Ross Cameron. Artistic Collaborators – Angelina Schwammerlin, David Bower, Isolte Avila, Ivani Ca, Peter Osita, Robert Corcoran, Viviana Molinares, Caylia Wallace. Music by David Omni, Peter Osita and Letticia Fuentes.

The event began with a spoken word video performance by the late Lionel M. Macauley, The Month of June.

All Festival events include BSL interpretation and live captions.
