Professional Development Club

Our Professional Development programme is aimed at professional/semi-professional and aspiring professional disabled artists. Carers who have faced career barriers because of their caring are also welcome.

We offer one-to-one guidance and mentoring sessions with artistic director Dr Ju Gosling aka ju90, currently taking place via Zoom (Ju cannot access voice-only calls). Topics include courses, qualifications including Arts Awards, work experience, CVs, portfolio development and funding applications, as well as Access to Work and other support and funding mechanisms. See the Together! 2020 Disability Film Festival programme for films of talks about filming safely in the Age of Covid-19 and the benefits of joining a trade union.

We also offer occasional group activities. In the summers of 2014 and 2015 we ran two-day overnight residential sessions of the Club at Zinc Arts in Ongar with the support of Arts Council England, offering an opportunity for professional, semi-professional and aspiring professional disabled artists to focus on their career development and covering all of their costs. If you have ideas for group sessions that could be delivered by Zoom, please let us know.

Contact Ju Gosling on ju@together2012.org.uk or 07973 252751 for more information and booking.

The Professional Development Club is supported by Arts Council England and has previously received funding from The National Lottery Community Fund.
