Paracarnival perform signed songs at Gallions Reach Shopping Park on Sunday 25 November 2018

Sunday 25 November 2018 1-2pm: Carnival Kings & Queens Parade with Paracarnival. Paracarnival comes to Newham to celebrate Disability History Month with a procession of locally based Disabled artists and friends at Gallion’s Reach Shopping Park Beckton.

Paracarnival is the official Carnival Arts partner of Together! 2012 CIC, and led a series of workshops in Newham over August leading to participation in Hackney Carnival, where the group was given the coveted Judges Choice award. Workshop participants learned the signed songs and created the costumes on the theme of ‘Kings and Queens’ that will be displayed and performed again at Beckton. Participants are drawn from Act Up! Newham, Powerhouse Women, Huddlestone Centre, Starpad DJs and Together! 2012 artists.
