On Saturday 9 June 2018 from 1-4pm we joined the Friends of West Ham Park for an afternoon of drawing, painting and flower collage at the Rose Garden in West Ham Park, celebrating Dr Fothergill’s botanical legacy. West Ham Park is owned by the City of London, and the plant collection dates from the 18th century. We had to abandon our original plan to hold our Friday morning Art Clubs at the Park in August due to the continuing high temperatures, but returned on Friday 7 September to record the after-effects of the heatwave.
