In 2023 we achieved renewed status as a National Portfolio Organisations with new funding from Arts Council England for 2023-2026. This enabled us to continue with our events programme, and to employ two trainees: an Assistant Artistic Director and an apprentice Cultural Learning and Participation worker. For our new funding period we changed our programming to offer year-round events, often linked to intersectional activities or local festivals where Disabled people have lacked representation in the past. All events were led by Disabled artists and were open to everyone, although some workshops were targeted at Disabled people. Click here for details and recordings of the 2023 events programme, which began in Spring 2023 at the start of the new financial year. You can also visit our Together! 2023 Disability Film Festival and the Together! 2023 Open Exhibition directly.
We also received new three-year funding from the National Lottery Community Fund for our Clubs programme, after a gap due to processing delays. Many thanks again to Newham Council for the emergency grant that allowed us to continue in the meantime. Our Clubs programme provides open access weekly and monthly arts Clubs that are open to all Disabled people. Our new grant also enabled us to employ an Administrator for one day a week, which was very welcome.
